This little doll face is 6 months old. Um, okay…..how did that happen?
I just blinked and now it’s February! These past months have FLOWN by. She is still an easy, easy baby and very laid back. If these past months are any indication of her toddler years, let’s just say she will NOT be my challenging child! She is finally sleeping unswaddled in her crib from 8 p.m. – 7 a.m. consistently. Although she will wake once or twice a night and chat it up with the bumper pad since she has found her chops! I definitely see the world in a whole new light now that I have sleep under my belt! However, I do have several years months to catch up on! She’s loving food and her jumperoo. And she loves watching Praise Baby movies with her sister. And I swear her cheeks must ache because the angel has a perma-smile every waking moment!
Some days I still pinch myself in disbelief that I have two girls and each and every day I thank the good Lord for these sweet, sweet blessings. It’s hard to even remember life with just one. The one thing I do remember is getting out the door was much easier with one in tow. I have to literally have a strategic plan of action to get out the door to be somewhere at a scheduled time. I usually have to get in and out of my car 587 times before I have everything we need!!!!! I also remember my house didn’t look like a Level 5 tornado hit it every day. But that’s OK – I’m really trying to not sweat the small stuff as much and it’s okay if my house isn’t perfectly in order ~ besides, it would just get messed up 5 minutes later!
And the set of lungs this gal has is unbelievable. She can squeal in delight with the best of them. In fact, she is the most sqealingist thing I’ve ever heard! Stirling tells me all the time, “Baby Baddly screamin’ Mama – shhhhhhh!”
I can only imagine how things will change even more over the next 6 months. But for now, I’m going to savor each second. Happy 1/2 birthday BB!!!! We love you!!!!!
BTW – Stirling is doing fabulous without her paci. Thank goodness!!!!!!
